10 — Create Routine and Change Routine
You want to keep your muscles from becoming used to any particular workout. The best way to do this is to follow a routine for a week or two and then completely change it. If you are continuously confusing your muscles in this way they will not become ‘comfortable’ and won’t reach that dreaded and often mentioned plateau.
9 — Be Sure to Stretch
Too many people underestimate the power of stretching. A simple stretch warm-up can not only decrease recovery time but also prevent you from injuring yourself while working out. The faster you can recover the quicker you get your desired results.
8 — Supplements
There are a lot of supplements on the market today claiming miraculous benefits with fitness and muscle building. Glutamine and Creatine can make a huge difference with muscle growth, in particular. If you are low on glutamine it can actually inhibit the growth of muscles. Creatine will help your body produce adenosine triphosphate which is a natural fuel for growth and strength.
